Day 5 - Guinness Brewery

The Guinness Storehouse is a remodeled building based on the original St. James' Gate brewery. The building is built around a huge pint glass atrium. As you walk into the building you feel as if you've walked into a large glass pint with glass spilling down from above.

9,000 year lease signed by the Guinness family when establishing their brewery. Talk about a commitment.

The ingredients section is where visitors can touch, smell and feel the ingredients through interactive displays.

The brewing section was a noisy, steamy and 'hoppy' area that mimicked the brewing process and provided a full explanation of each step.

This was part of the Guinness transportation display. Models and displays tell the story of Guinness transportation.

Cute bartender. One pint of Guinness, please.

How to pour a perfect pint of Guinness.

Instructions on how to pour the perfect pint.

Honing my craft

Now for the final test. Topping it off with minimum foam.

Officially certified and enjoying the fruits of my labor. I'm not kidding about the certification. I received a certificate for pouring a perfect pint of Guinness.

View of the city from the top of the pint glass. The Skybar lounge is at the top of the Guinness storehouse. It's a 360 degree panoramic view of the city.
